my toy of many years now because bigger boys need bigger toys i have a 1930's model "A" ford aahhhoooogggaaaaa!!!! horn which i repainted an attached to the side of the tractor. it's a handy little tractor for dragging logs out of the woods for firewood it's a very narrow tractor. i was using it for joy riding, hauling firewood yard trimings, sweeping the yard with a turf groomer lawn sweeper. I also have the original (restored)one 12" bottom plow for it. the plow attaches to the two metal plates which hang behind the front wheels. the plow is hand lifted. no power lift at all. I also restored the original 13 tooth spring tooth harrow which mounts to two hooks that hang just ahead of the drawbar. it was a good runner. it just needs new rings and a valve grinding (hopefully). specs 9hp off the belt pulley 7hp off the drawbar, 1500 pounds unweighted weights add 150 pounds per wheel on the back. 1400 pound max drawbar pull with weights on wheels. 3 speeds forward 1 reverse. 6v electric start. this tractor is the high crop version of the model L. it sit's up as high as an "LA". most "L's" are fairly low to the ground. sitting on the seat you hav an execelant veiw underneith as well as all around the tractor. this is john deere's first serise of the begining of true utility tractors. desgined to convert small horse powerd farms to tractor powerd farms. model "L" originally cost between $500-$700
